A true designer at heart, Cynthia Rowley was only seven when she stitched together her first dress. Her love of fashion led her to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she created and sold her first complete collection to a number of New York's most prominent stores even before graduating. With a whimsical style and sociable demeanor, Rowley soon found herself at the forefront of fashion as women clamored for her flirty, feminine designs. Garnering inspiration in everything from brightly colored candy to vintage thrift shop finds, Rowley crafts looks that are both sumptuous and sophisticated. The Council of Fashion Designers of America recognized her vibrant spirit, honoring her with the Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent in 1994. Since then, her reputation for carefree designs executed with a meticulous attention to detail has established her as one of America's great designers. From dresses to shoes to handbags, her collection proves that fashion should be fun and that girls are never too old to play dress up. This event is scheduled to start on Wednesday, January 28 at 11am for 1st Row members, noon for 2nd Row members. This event will run for 36 hours. |
